Sorry this is rank but I have been wakening up during the night and my face and pillow have been absolutely soaking with slevers. I've never ever had this before it only seems to be now I'm pregnant? Had anyone experienced this before ?

Soaked with what?

Carebear99 · 16/02/2022 10:08

I've been waking up sweating at night, but I don't understand your message? I'm 10.5 weeks

TriciaMcMillan · 16/02/2022 10:12

Saliva?

firsttimemum1xxx · 16/02/2022 10:21

@Garman @Carebear99 @TriciaMcMillan my apologies I should have thought before writing this that noone would understand unless their Scottish. Yes saliva, sorry again.

Easily done. I'm sure that's normal, the sweating I'm having is annoying. It's only at night

WarrickDavisAsPlates · 16/02/2022 10:34

Yes it's absolutely a thing. With all of my pregnancies I've been a sleep dribbler, to the point of having a soaking pillow.

Once the baby is born you'll probably go back to normal.

LuluF91 · 16/02/2022 10:35

Could be your congested and sleeping with your mouth open? Nasal congestion is pretty common in pregnancy.

firsttimemum1xxx · 16/02/2022 11:04

@Carebear99 I've found I can be absolutely freezing at night time but I'm up so much during the night and at that point I'm sweating. Crazy the amount of things that happen to your body during pregnancy

@WarrickDavisAsPlates thank you for this. I can't believe it everytime I wake up my face and pillow are soaking 😖 at least it's normal though

@LuluF91 today is the first day I've felt kind of congested but I do usually sleep with my mouth open it's just never been the way it is now though, I usually wake up with a dry mouth because I sleep with my mouth open but just now its the total opposite

@firsttimemum1xxx first of all I totally understood slevers but I am scottish too 😂 secondly yes! This has happened to me during pregnancy it even happened to me in my dreams 😅 they do say you salivate more during pregnancy so I'm sure it'll go away after.

firsttimemum1xxx · 16/02/2022 12:13

@Caass45 I wrote that without even thinking like just expecting people to know what it meant hahahah it never even crossed my mind that it was a Scottish word 🤣😭 and thank god I hope it does cause it's honestly minging, I wake up so many times a night and everytime my face and pillow are soaking

Have you got a blocked nose or anything that might be making you sleep with your mouth open.
