6 week old baby naps in crib

Is it okay to have 6 week old baby napping in crib ? Crib is in our bedroom which is off the kitchen where I am working - leave the door open slightly - or does she need to be on same room as me ? She will only nap in crib

Officially, yes she does, however our baby always napped in his own room in the flat from about six weeks old, with a baby monitor. He was in his own room totally for all sleep from four months, it was the best thing for everyone.

Sounds a perfect arrangement.
