No

MoonlightFancy · 14/02/2022 21:13

Pretty sure it’s not, no.

From NHS website, quick google search:

Ibuprofen is not usually recommended in pregnancy, unless it's prescribed by a doctor, especially if you're more than 30 weeks pregnant. This is because ibuprofen can affect your baby's circulation and kidneys. There may also be a link between taking ibuprofen in early pregnancy and miscarriage.

PJ04JCW · 14/02/2022 21:17

Please don't. It's one of the things I beat myself up about my miscarriage, taking ibuprofen before I knew I was pregnant. It probably wasn't that but I still feel guilty.

No but usually you can take paracetamol. Just double check with your midwife

princesspopppy · 14/02/2022 21:34

Ibuprofen is a no go in pregnancy.
Paracetamol and gp if you feeling you need something stronger. There are things that are safe to take but need a prescription.

DiscoBadgers · 14/02/2022 21:45

You can have paracetamol

Somerandomgirl · 14/02/2022 22:26

Apparently bananas help with leg pains they have something in them.

You are probably dehydrated though, so try and get more fluids.

If you google it, it's pretty clear that it is not recommended form of pain relief in pregnancy unless prescribed by a medical professional. Paracetamol is the pain relief of choice for pregnant women. I would always look on NHS website in the first instance or call your midwife rather than ask on a forum.

What Veronica said - just use the NHS guidelines.

If your legs are aching you might be low on magnesium? Are you taking your prenatals?
