7 weeks pregnant, bleeding, empty gestational sack- please help

Hi,

I’m approximately 7 weeks pregnant. I’ve had spotting/ bleeding for the last 6 days. It’s gradually increased, not heavy bleeding but now similar to a period. Also had some mild cramping. I’ve had a few pregnancy symptoms but generally mild (know everyone is different!). Had an internal scan today and been told there is a very small empty gestational sack and I could be 4-5 weeks pregnant. Got to go back in a fortnight for another scan to see if things are progressing but at this point I’m not holding up much hope. Dr wouldn’t say either way or give us an indication of how to feel. This is my first pregnancy and my partner and I are feeling very upset and confused. Any similar experiences or words of wisdom would be really appreciated right now! Thank-you! Xx

Thank-you Feeling a bit less emotional now. I suppose if it’s not going to work that’s the way it is and there are people in far worse situations. I’m just praying that whatever happens in the future is more straight forward as all this wondering and waiting is so stressful xx

I have read lots of posts on here and seen some people have been slightly out on dates (because it's difficult to measure when they are that small) and also lots have experienced bleeding with everything being ok. Try and take it easy x

Didn't want ti read and not respond so sorry you are going through this. I probably would prepare for the worst but ofcourse you do never know but that does sound like an early miscarriage I'm so sorry x

Thank-you! Yeah, I think I’m somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks. My cycles are long and irregular. I’m holding out a tiny bit of hope but preparing myself mentally for the worst. If it is a miscarriage I just hope it happens soon so we aren’t in this limbo mode!
