I always assumed I wouldn't want to know (however I still root out Christmas presents beforehand )

However dp said he would quite like to know!

I found out both times and was really, really glad I did both times. With DD1 we told everyone we didn't know so it was our special little secret, with the DTs we knew and told everyone, equally lovely as people bought gender-specific gifts and were excited for us.

Oh no, I had to know and it helped me to bond with him even before the birth, and with choosing names, picking out baby clothes etc

I don't think it ruins the surprise to find out the sex at the 5 month scan. It's the same surprise, just earlier!

Up until we found out DD1 was a girl I was certain she was a boy, I'd even bought a little boys outfit and painted the nursery blue . It took me a few days to come round to the idea of having a girl, it felt like someone had swapped my baby iyswim, so i'm glad I found out before the birth tbh.
