idly browsing (thinking I'd been on here far too long this afternoon ) and found this article on CNN about changing your baby's name after birth - I've heard of one or two people doing this maybe weeks/days after but there is one couple who did it when dd was 4.

Just thought it was interesting esp given the number of we don't like your name hassles some folk have had from family....

In the UK you can only change it before the child is 1 I think

and don't you have a little while before you have to register anyway so you've got some thinking time if required

6 weeks in England, not sure but I think it's shorter in Scotland.

I do know people that are still unsure of the names they gave their children though, and I know lots of adults that go by a differnet name to their given one!
