Tips for morning sickness

I'm pregnant with my second baby, but the morning sickness this time is much work. I'm heaving, then neauseous all day til i go to bed.

I'm eating little and often (mainly plain foods e.g. crackers, meats, potatoes, toast etc)

I'm sipping juice and sparkling water.

I am also taking some anti-sickness tablets prescribed by the doc, which only seem to take the edge off!

What foods have you found successful for breakfast? lunch? evening meal? snacks?

Anything different you have found that has helped?

Ginger biscuits for snacks.

Toast / bagels for breakfast. I stuck to sandwiches with something plain like ham for lunch. I found fruit, soups and anything with a sauce made me sick.
Very bland but it didn’t last long.

Anything beige for me. I was on 2 different kinds of tablets together for most of my pregnancy. I ate A LOT of Greggs steak/chicken bakes, fish pie, fish cakes and my weight in green beans, bagles and ham for lunch and endless bottles of full sugar coke. I put on a lot of weight though. At the time I didn't give a fuck, just new I would deal with it after the baby was born.

I had HG in every pregnancy and the only thing that helped was ondansetron

I still had nausea but it stopped me vomiting

Go back to your GP for stronger meds if you current meds haven't helped enough 48 hours after starting.

Deff ginger biscuits for me. I have one (at least) in the morning before I even get out of bed. Also lemon and ginger tea.... peppermint tea too. Hope this helps. And congratulations x

Carry round a Tupperware box with a lid in case you suddenly need to vomit
