Dying hair

Silly question I know! But it made me curious, I know that if you dye your hair when pregnant you need to use no ammonia hair dye or just wait until after you've had the baby, but how do people keep there hair blonde the whole way through? Do they dye it or are they naturally that colour?!

I'm sure blonde is okay because having highlights doesn't touch your scalp I believe xx

I've had highlights done twice during my pregnancy, done using foils - nothing touches the scalp so it's perfectly safe. My hairdresser said having an all over colour isn't recommended and she doesn't do it on pregnant clients but highlights and balayage is generally fine.

I normally have my hair bleached, with the bleach being left on my scalp for at least 45 minutes so I've been advised not to have this done. Foils etc are fine.

I'm 17 weeks and had my hair done 2 weeks ago, I have my hair bleached and then toner after, my hairdresser said it's fine to have done as it isn't absorbed into the skin. Definitely safe to keep your blonde through pregnancy. I had read somewhere about not doing it til after I was 12 weeks - so I waited until after this - but my hair dresser said I didn't have to do that. I also got my hair done through my first pregnancy with no problems.
