Possible IUGR??

Hi Moms
Currently 28 weeks pregnant. Baby’s abdominal circumference has always measured a few days ahead. At 24 week scan, was in 60th percentile. Now at 28 week scan, it’s Suddenly at 3rd percentile:
24 weeks- 197mm
28 week- 217mm

Head and legs measuring ahead. Does this sound like IUGR? Is it even possible to fall by such a large amount/ percentiles in only 4 weeks? Would like to ask Gynie to re-check that AC measurement in case she made a mistake? Doesn’t seem right. Everything else looks good.

She says to come back in 2 weeks time to measure again but don’t think my nerves will last till then!!
Any advice appreciated!!

Hi!

I'm currently on 30 weeks and my baby was diagnosed IUGR since week 20 she was measuring small (below 3% on all measurements). I wouldn't think yours is IUGR because one measurement is reduced from 24 to 28 week. I think in IUGR all measurements are small, which is not the case of your baby.
I have had scans every week since week 20, and what I can say is that every sonographer makes the measurement different. One time we got the femur measurement smaller than the week before, which is impossible!
I know it is needless to say but don't worry too much (yet!) and wait until your next scan.
I wish you the best!
