Baby movements

So I'm 19 weeks pregnant with baby number 2, and I have only felt baby a times and it's very subtle, I heard that a lot of women feel baby movements a lot earlier than this with 2nd pregnancy so by now the movements would have got stronger. Has anyone else not felt much at around 19 weeks with baby number 2? And if so, when did you start to properly feel baby?

Look forward to hearing from you ladies 💜

Following OP as I am in exactly the same boat. I think I can feel a bit of fluttering but really not sure! Was quite certain with my first when I felt it much earlier.

My midwife told me to expect regular patterns by 20 weeks and that is only a few days away so feeling a bit worried now!

@Passanotherjaffacake I feel exactly the same, feeling a few flutters but nothing major and I'm 19 weeks + 2 days, read so many things on here about women feeling much stronger movements by now with second pregnancy it just makes me worry, I don't have my 20 week scan until the 21st

I’m 25 weeks and really only started feeling little kicks the last 2 weeks, and even then very gentle and no pattern. It’s really stressful waiting for them to happen but when they do come it’s amazing xx

@Furmummy thanks for the reply, is this your first pregnancy or..?

2nd pregnancy. Only started feeling "flutters" around 19weeks, I'm now 21 weeks and getting kicks but my other half can't feel them yet. Do you know where your placenta is lying? I'm anterior so I'm not expecting many strong kicks/movements to be felt/seen until 24weeks-ish

Dolly3092 · 12/02/2022 22:02

@Olive60 thank you so much for your reply, that's really comforting to know, I don't yet know where my placenta is lying, will find out at my next scan but I do think it's anterior tbh x

With my first I didn’t feel him at all until 27 weeks and then not much purely because of his position.
My second from around 20 weeks, not much in the way of kicks or anything, I’m 38 weeks now and she doesn’t stop!

Bakewelltart987 · 12/02/2022 22:05

It can depend where placenta is my placenta was in front of baby so I never felt movement untill later 22ish weeks.

Dolly3092 · 13/02/2022 00:25

I have my scan on the 21st so hopefully I will be able to see what's going on, maybe I just have an anterior placenta Smile

Hello ladies, wanted to keep you updated, had our 20 week scan today and as we all thought I have an anterior placenta hence why I haven't felt much movement. I have started to feel him moving about a bit more this last week so that's great, but the sonographer says I'm having a textbook pregnancy, and we love that phrase!! Textbook is safe and safe is great!!

😊😊

Hey ladies I'm 18 weeks not feeling huge movements just possible flutters. Same happened with baby 2 but placenta was lying at the front so was restricting me feeling movements.
