Hi there,
I had a miscarriage two weeks ago, when scanned tissue left and HCG high so decided to go with tablets to help with moving things along. Then went for another blood test and scan and still high HCG ( although she said it had came down a little bit this time) however could still see tissue on the scan. She wasn’t happy and spent along time on the scan and wouldn’t say much to me apart from the image wasn’t as clear as she would like and she would get me an appointment with the Doctor. So now I’m worried.
Anyone went through similar?
Thanks

It sounds like maybe some placenta tissue was left behind and still attached and it’s causing the high HCG, HCG can hang around for a long time is the miscarriage hadn’t all came away properly. But if HCG Is dropping then nothing is growing. But I’d wait and see what the dr says, it’s very possible you may need D&C to remove the left over tissue. My friend had a missed miscarriage some years ago and it didn’t all come away and she tested positive on a home pregnancy test for 21 weeks after wards.

Thanks for your comment. I’m thinking a D&C is probably likely, but I’m nervous. I’m back up tomorrow for more bloods so I’ll ask some questions, however they don’t seem to give much away!
