I'm a little worried as I've lost 1/2 a stone in 2 weeks. I like to keep an eye on my weight gain as I started off bigger in this pregnancy than I did with the other 2 pregnancys. But I've been far less active over these past couple of weeks than normally. I was due last saturday (29th). My elsdest had an operation and isnt allowed out for 2 weeks, so I have been pottering around the house and not doing very much.
Also with christmas and the abundance of chocolate we've had, If i've wanted 10 quality sweets and 6 ferrero rocher in one sitting I've had them. If anything I should have put on weight.
I'm a little worried and obviously being full term the baby will pack on a few pounds.

Is it worth mentioning to the midwives when I go to the hospital thursday, should I be as worried as what I am.

Thanks

I would definitely say to the Mid wife if you can see a reason for it. Are you feeling the baby move I know it gets less at this stage but still should feel something? also is there any chance your waters may have broken sometimes its a drip drip drip rather than a gush?

The baby is moving fine. But I have had alot of discharge lately, and wondered if perhaps the waters were leaking. It wasnt very creamy, but it was a little thicker than water. IYSWIM . Also during the day and when I wake up my knickers are damp. sorry bout the too much info.
I have just not heard of this degree of weight loss at the end thats all.I havent been conciously eating well either.

I would have said that if the baby is moving then it cant be too much or a problem but would say on Thursday to put your mind at rest good luck

Hi hun

Even if you lose your waters with a gush that will not be more than about 2lbs. It is normal I think to stop growing (you and baby) at this stage so if you have been bloated for a while, and have now lost the bloating that can easily explain it. But you know the golden rule: If worried ask midwife!
