I know it can take longer than this to actually feel anything but its my second so im starting to get worried, i felt some light movements around 16 weeks and then it stopped /:
I have a scan booked 3rd march, should i get a private scan before that just to ease my mind or is this normal and happens often?
I also have a anterior placenta and read that that can make it more difficult to feel movements

I had an anterior placenta. Felt first movements at 16.4 and then nothing for weeks afterwards. It's very disconcerting!! If I could afford it I think I would book a scan though, just for reassurance. Or ask midwife if they will see you to hear heartbeat?

@Jenda yes very desconcerting! Just want to feel baby move now but i think that's what i'll do speak to the midwife and ask to hear the heartbeat that would definitely give me a bit of peace, thank you

I'm 22 weeks on my 3rd pregnancy and only started feeling movements at 20 weeks. I also have an anterior placenta. I'm feeling movements all the time now but only really noticably the last 2 days ! Try not to worry and don't forget how tiny the baby is right now, with an anterior placenta it takes a bit longer to feel movements. Once the baby gets bigger there will be no denying those kicks !

I had an anterior placenta with DD and didn’t feel any movements until 24 weeks. She was using it as a pillow on the scans! My midwife was quite happy to see me for a heartbeat listen in if I wanted reassurance so definitely see them if you’re worried x

I had an anterior placenta with my boy and didn't feel anything until about 20 weeks

I've got a posterior placenta and I had this as well. Lots of quickening feelings up until 18 weeks then i didn't feel anything further until around 22 or 23 weeks where it was proper kicks. Baby is still really small at this gestation and tucked away
