Hi all, FTM here, 33 weeks. Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience... I’m currently in hospital as I started having strong contractions two nights ago and when I got to the maternity unit I was hooked up to the CTG the doc said it looked from my uterine activity like I was going into labour. They quickly moved into action and gave me lots of different drugs to try to slow down/stop the contractions and also gave me steroids for the baby’s lungs in case it was time.
I’m two days in and luckily the contractions have slowed down substantially and I’ve had a few cervix checks and it hasn’t affected my cervix at all. They’re keeping me in for one more night and then hopefully discharging me in the morning.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and then gone full term? And if it’s likely I’ll have repeated episodes of this? Trying to figure out what to prepare myself for going forward. My baby is measuring big (98th percentile within normal range) but obviously it’s quite early so I’m hoping he can hold out for a few more weeks so he doesn’t have to go to the NICU when he arrives.
Thanks xx
