Flu/virus - 9 weeks pregnant?!

Hi All,
I'm 9+2 today - and have caught what seems like a virus turning into a flu. (I've done a covid test, it's negative).
I'm just so worried because I'm so early on in the pregnancy, I don't want my baby to be affected in its development.
I'm even scared to take paracetamol.
Has anybody else been in this situation early in their pregnancies? What did you do?

Sorry to read you are ill! I had a bug in my first trimester and my baby is developing absolutely fine.

Paracetomol is completely fine to take in pregnancy, and it's actually important that you do take it if you get a raised temperature because it will help lower the fever. And will manage the fluey symptoms too.

High temperatures are the biggest risk to the developing baby if you have the flu. If you can get a thermometer then that's the best way to monitor it - anything higher than 37.5 it's recommended you ring your midwife or doctor.

I found paracetomol kept my temperature below that threshold. And then just lots of rest and fluids! Hope you feel better soon
