Dry nose in pregnancy - has this happened to anyone else?

Apologies in advance for the TMI, but for the last 6 weeks or so I've had what I can only describe as a dry nose. I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant.

I'm used to having a runny nose, it has been a constant in my life for years, but this is different - if anything, it's the entire opposite. Mucus is dry and clusters up inside my nostrils and sometimes after blowing my nose I will get red bloody crusts.

I've read about swollen veins in the nostrils, but everywhere there's talk about runny and stuffed noses and that's not what I have.

Sometimes my nose gets so dry it burns to breath in. I've tried humidifying it with some water (applied via q-tip), but it only lasts a few minutes. I also got saline nasal drops yesterday to see if that'd help, but so far it doesn't do anything either.

Has anyone experienced this? It is becoming a bit tiring, although I will admit a runny nose would be worse (although I'm very familiar with that, so somehow it maybe doesn't bother me as much as it bothers other people).

Yes! It's the worst and I wake up with a really dry mouth. I've started coating the inside of my nose with Vaseline before bed. It's helping!

I'm 28 weeks and I have it at the moment, it started around 3 weeks ago or so. Previous pregnancies I've had regular nose bleeds, but this one feels like I have swirled sand around my nose. I have to keep flaring my nostrils to 'get comfortable', which just adds wonderfully to my feelings of attractiveness!

If you find something that works let me know, it's a horrible feeling!

I have a dry and scabby nose at the minute at 14 weeks.
Not helped by 20 days of lateral flows from consecutive close contacts at work.

I am 34 weeks and have suffered the exact same for the last few weeks!! I thought I might have a cold at first but this has lasted a long time. It’s so sore and gross 😅
