Hey everyone on January the 12th 2022 I found out I'm 30 weeks pregnant it was a massive shock as I had no symptoms at all, recently found out I'm having a little girl and she's due roughly 22-29 of march (they can't give me an exact date) im a first time mummy and just looking for some advice Smile

Apologies but I’m always REALLY curious when I hear of this happening OP..
I know some women have front lying placenta etc which means they’re less likely to feel early movement - but did you really not feel any movement? Specially in the last few weeks before you found out?
I understand the no symptoms as that’s also been my experience, but I’m always curious about the movement bit..

@SportsMother

Are you ready to have a baby in terms of somewhere to live/ money/ essentials for baby?
Yeah I'm 20 years old with my own place and job with my partner. We have everything In already just something to grab like scratch mittens and bibs x

My tips would don’t go overboard buying loads of baby stuff right away. Just get in the absolute essentials (there’s lots of threads on here already if you do a search).
then buy bigger things as and when you decide you need them.
Newborns need very little right away except food, clothes and nappies and so where to sleep. Oh and get some muslin cloths for feeding.

Also - don’t expect your baby to follow any sort of normal “routine” for a number of months. Just follow their lead (as exhausting as it can be).

Read up on the Fourth Trimester.

Nothing at all no movement no bump no symptoms. After I had my first scan on the 12th of January my bump appeared and I started to feel her move x

Ooh gosh that must have been a shock then. Can I ask .. How did you realise you could be pregnant? If you've had no bump or symptoms, did something happen to make you do a test etc?

I started putting on weight and I thought it was from just working from home and being too close to the fridge and my friend advised me to take a test so I took it because I thought I was going to prove her wrong 😂 turns out she was right and I was indeed pregnant as clearblues only go to 3+ I thought it was maybe 6-12 weeks pregnant. So I got an emergency scan and turn out I was 30 weeks pregnant x

@courtney352 Oh wow OP!! Well, congratulations! What a shock 😬 but I’m glad you found out before she made an appearance!

I actually know a girl who gave birth in her bathroom drunk while all her friends were round at hers having drinks before a night out 😳😳😳 no bump, no idea she was pregnant, she’d been dieting and had actually lost quite a bit of weight!

Did you not notice your period had stopped?
Have you been drinking/smoking during the pregnancy?
I know someone this happened to but I'm convinced she knew and was in denial.
Good luck.

I haven't had a period in 3 years so wasn't any different. Non smoker and I'm not really a drinker I drank once or twice during the months I didn't know I was pregnant and I honestly had no clue I was pregnant otherwise I wouldn't have obviously
