Before anybody kills me...

I'm being induced on Monday! Hand expressing kills my hands... I'm wanting to either go before induction. Or be favourable enough for a easier induction for Monday... Nipple stimulation came up as a good way to do this. I'm also breast feeding so colostrum collecting was happening anyways. But the real question is... Is using an electric pump to pump going to effect anything... Is there dangers?

I had a C-section last week at 37+3, I started collecting colostrum at 36 weeks, by hand. Then from 36+3 I started using the pump on a low setting and it didn't cause me any issues.

Only thing is the colostrum is too thick to get through the pump, so instead I would watch my nipple, once I got a drop of colostrum I'd get the syringe and pick it off my nipple, then carry on - it's time consuming but totally worth it 😊

I got a lot more colostrum when pumping rather than hand expressing however I still didn't get much at all!!!
