When can I expect to be induced if I have GD? I’m 36 weeks now and it was detected about a week ago. I’m 40, if that makes a difference. Thanks

Ask them but with me, they wanted to induce at 38w. I pushed back because it was well controlled and he wasn't big. They would want to induce you at 40w because of your age (I'm 41 and just gave birth 5 days "late") having pushed back on that too! But basically, I think they'll suggest 38w.

Thanks. Baby is already measuring big so I’m hopeful they recommend 38 weeks as my anxiety of having a big baby is high!

It varies a lot depending on your hospital, your medication, the babies size etc
