Hello I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant but I feel completely normal. Is this normal? Does this mean there's something wrong?

At 6 weeks I was getting nausea around 4pm-8pm but thats now eased off. This week I feel completely normal. I haven't done any tests since I found out (I got 3 positives). My last pregnancy I didn't find out until 11 weeks but I still drove myself mad testing everyday so I decided this time I wasn't going to do that. I had an early scan at 5 weeks and saw the sac, I've got my follow up scan on Wednesday to make sure things are progressing. But I'm now convincing myself that there won't be a baby there :( I've been trying to stay positive cos if something was to happen, I have little to no control over it. We've wanted this baby for 5 years and every month we had disappointment, I'm just so scared something might go wrong.

Thank you for reading.

Totally normal.

1st pregnancy - I was already on antisickness pills at 5w because I couldn't function with the sickness which lasted all the pregnancy.

2nd pregnancy - I didn't know I was pregnant until nearly 8w and didn't have a single symptom that I recall.

Both were successful!

It's definitely normal, I didn't have a clue until 11 weeks with DD I didn't have a single symptoms until then which is what made me test. The day I tested positive was the day the constant nausea started. Try not to worry too much, I know that's easier said than done! Hope all goes well for you Smile

Hi @Jenna240 your post really hit home with me. I'm 5+1 today, so behind you and I also don't have loads of symptoms but I know it's still early and we're all so different.
I had a mmc in November after ivf and I also went for a scan and they could only see a sac, and what they thought was the start of a fetal pole. It wasn't a nice time and I never want to go through that again.

Your lack of symptoms don't mean anything though, some women get really sick etc straight away and other women either don't really get many symptom's or nust don't get any. There's no way of knowing what's going on. And as you say, we can't control things. So no amount of worrying will change the outcome. Although I know exactly how you're feeling right now.
I also am not testing constantly like I did last time as it really made me crazy, it just fed my anxiety comparing lines etc. ive only done the one test so far. I've told myself I will do a digital test maybe this week or next and that's it.

I've had the odd boob stab and twinges so trying to find comfort in that.

I found those early weeks such an anticlimax, lol. After the initial "oooo I'm having a baby", nothing happens for ages. Totally normal.

Enjoy it while you can, it only gets worse from here!!

GeneLovesJezebel · 07/02/2022 10:40

I was the same until the morning sickness kicked in, then I knew I was pregnant !

Jenna240 · 07/02/2022 13:29

Sorry everyone I had to get to work but thank you for your replies. I just keep thinking back to my first pregnancy I didn't find out until I was 11 weeks so clearly didn't have any symptoms at 7 weeks back then. Its just one big worry isn't it 😕 hoping for good news on Wednesday 🤞

I didn't feel pregnant until I could feel baby move at 20 weeks Grin so you're all ok don't worry xx

Loads of people don't even realise there pregnant at this stage I was 9 weeks with first well so I thought but was actually 13 weeks then 8 weeks with second don't worry. Maybe your going to have a nice easy pregnancy.

holdonbaby · 08/02/2022 08:43

This is a reassuring read as I have no symptoms either I'm 7 weeks.

Good luck for Wednesday.

Ah fab news :)

Came on to say I am 9 weeks now and haven't really had any symptoms at all until the last couple of weeks, and even those are minor.

I do feel sick if I haven't eaten for a couple of hours, but tbh I am not sure it would register if I didn't know I was pregnant. It just feels a bit like when you've eaten too much sweet stuff.
