Posted something similar last week but didn’t really get the support I’m after.
My girl is 21 months and since I found out I was pregnant, sleep has hit a whole new low. She’s been ill almost constantly, hysterical at nights, breastfeeding constantly and my aversion is through the roof to the point I’m sobbing in the night desperate for her to get off me. Can’t stop breastfeeding because she’s unwell and she gets so upset when refused to the point where she’s in hysterics and we get absolutely no sleep. She won’t get into a deep sleep so we have a couple of hours stitched together across each night. Partner helps all he can. Gentle breastfeeding boundaries in place as much as we can right now.
I’m worried about the baby and how research suggests this could have bad outcomes. I don’t want advice how to change the situation, because we can’t, we just need to get through it, but I’d like to hear some positive stories from people who may have been through something similar, I can’t be the only one. Were your babies ok/happy?
