Hey guys! Can anyone suggest me a good kick counter solution? Even if it's an app, O am okay with it I just really want to keep track.

@mummy2412 its not recommended in England to count kicks, your baby should develop a pattern of movements similar every day and thats what you need to keep track of, if this pattern changes / reduces you need to ring your midwife.

Yep this is what I was told.
My midwife actually told me off for using it.

Pattern is much more useful and important

I've used the Kicks Count app and found it useful. You can use it to log 'sessions' of movement (rather than counting individual kicks) and the app displays their distribution in 4 hour timeslots as well as daily totals with charts showing 7 day and 14 day totals. It's helped me in working out what my baby's patterns of movement were - eg what times of day were usually quieter or busier, how that spread out over a week.

Patterns are more important than just the number of kicks, so whatever app you try should be one that helps you with identifying and monitoring patterns. And don't rely solely on any app - what you feel is much more important!

@Totalwasteofpaper yes my baby doesn't really kick much during the day he is very active in the night / early morning and late evening, I think his brother and sisters noise drives him to sleep all day Grin
