Do antenatal vitamins help with low percentile?

I was wondering if anyone else has tried this? My baby is in the 35th percentile but 6th percentile for legs (both myself and partner are tall)

As far as I’m aware there’s no reason for the percentile to be low although I’m quite slim I have taken antenatal vitamins now and again but I always forget and before 30 weeks probably remembered twice a week.

I’ve now bought pregnacare max and I’m now taking them religiously has this worked for anyone else?

(Currently 36 weeks but been taking daily for the last 2 weeks)

Hi, please try to not worry!! Scan measurements are notoriously inaccurate! If the sonographer/dr is not worried and did not flag it then you shouldn’t be either! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! X

My last baby measured 6th percentile throughout the whole pregnancy and I took my antenatal vitamins daily from ovulation! So I don't think they have much effect on growth, babies tend to do their own thing with growing lol
Also scans have a huge margin of error on measurements, hence why when they estimate weight it can be really out!

I took really good quality pregnancy multivitamins plus a fish oil tablet every day. Baby was born at 25 centile, but is very healthy and I had a great, very healthy pregnancy.

I think babies take from you what they need, so the vitamins are more for your own general health- incase the baby depletes you of any nutrients

Thank you I suppose there’s not much I can do I’ll just continue taking them and fingers crossed have a healthy baby soon

I wouldn't say so - for my first I took my vitamins religiously and he was little, 9th centile. For my second I kept forgetting and barely took them and the baby was huge, 91st centile. Don't worry about the baby measuring little, the scans can be wrong, and if they're not, there's nothing wrong with a small, healthy baby! Certainly makes labour easier, take it from me 😬
