9mm sac with yolk but no fetal pole

I had a scan the other day, there was a gestation sac and yolk sac, she said my gestation sac was 9mm which would make me 6 weeks but there was no fetal pole. The women said that everything is looking good and I've to go back in 2 weeks, I am a bit concerned though as I thought you always see fetal pole at 6 weeks ? She said I could be anywhere between 5weeks and 3 days to 6 weeks and 3 days as anything this early in a pregnancy is really just a guess. I have really irregular periods with pcos and from working out dates I thought I would have been 5 weeks and 4 days on day of scan but I'm not sure why the sac would be measuring at 9mm? Sorry, hope this makes sense

I had the exact same thing, the wait is agonising but when I went back, they could see the embryo properly. I was just a week behind on dates, which is probably what’s happened with you. I hope it goes well, fingers crossed and keep us posted xx

@Whistler42 aww thank you so much, this has kind of put my mind at ease. I'm all over the place with dates because my very irregular period and pcos but when she said I was 6 weeks but there was only gestational sac and yolk sac I was a bit stressed out but she said to me everything looked good and said I could have came 2 days later and seen an embryo it all just depends when you come if it's the correct date etc but u know what it's like u just panic. Yes honestly a day can change everything. You’ll see a little heartbeat next time I’m sure. We were trying for years, so I panicked and used to run to EPU all the time for scan checkups lol now our baby is 5months old and thriving
