My little boy had constipation from 2 weeks old when we swapped from ready made to powder.. he has not been the same since he’s struggling with silent reflux constipation witch is on lactuloce for and permanently uncomfortable and unsettled.. I have only noticed the change in him since we used powder and we have also tried every powder and they all seam to be the same.. so I am thinking on going back to the ready made to see if that works.. has anyone had this problem ???

Just wanted to bump for you. You will get better advice on a different board, so you could ask Mumsnet to move it or ask again on the parenting board.

I would also google milk protein allergy and see if you think he has symptoms because that can cause major digestive problems. Good luck x

Agree that you might be better asking @MNHQ to move this over to Infant Feeding.

There's some info on CMPA from Allergy UK which might be useful as well Smile

My little girl was constipated when we put her on infant gaviscon for reflux which in hindsight I don't think she actually had, we were just probably shocked at how much babies are sick sometimes especially until we got the hang of just how much they need winding. I'm not saying this is the case with you but might be worth persevering without the medication and see if you can really wind him tonnes and keep him upright a bit after his feeds. Good luck

Also we found doing a pre made bottle in the morning and powder the rest of the day helped 👍🏼

I'm having similar issues. I've found the powder to be more foamy, I belive the bubbles caused my little girl some pain.
Have you tried tabs? (I'm using Aptamil) and that works better than the powder. I agree, the already made ones are the best, not sure why but they texture just different.
