I've got pcos so was put on metformin x3 a day to induce ovulation. Got a postive test Wednesday evening and for some reason didn't take any metformin for two days. I've just taken one now but now I'm wondering is it still okay to take ? Anyone else with pcos who knows about this ? Will call the gp Monday but in the meantime would like to hear off others

It was a long time ago now, but I'm pretty sure my GP said to continue taking Metformin until I either ran out, or 12 weeks. Whichever came first.

Thank you @Dyra just don't want to be doing anything I shouldn't

Metformin is absolutely safe in pregnancy, it’s given to diabetics.
You need to speak to your GP though to discuss it

My endocrinologist said to keep taking metmorfin and take a blood test on 12th week, then we will decide on whether I should continue or not.

Metformin is safe in pregnancy - it doesn't pass through the placenta
