Swelling is this normal 27 weeks

I'm 27 +6 days now and I have noticed my right leg feels very different to my right, I've noticed this a while it sort of feels like there's water under the skin. But now you can visibly see the swelling on my right ankle.

I have put some pics but you can't really tell in them I don't think. My bp is normal but I was just wondering if this is normal ?

I have messaged midwife but it takes ages for her to get back to me and it's the weekend so it won't be until Monday at the earliest she will get back to me now,

I have a high pulse rate resting between 115-120 and heart palpitations but I am seeing a consultant for this on weds.

I do have a headache but it comes and goes and is very mild. My vision has also been a little weird ( like when you look at a bright light and look away and it's spotty but it's constantly like this and is sometimes quite bad and sometimes very subtle, I also feel foggy. Thankyou any advice would be appreciated.

Oh also should mention this is second pregnancy.

You should go to your local maternity unit or at least phone the helpline right away. I had severe preeclampsia and the symptoms were very much like yours. My bp only skyrocketed in hospital. It could be nothing and I don't want to scare you but I went downhill very quickly so you really need to get checked. Sending good thoughts x

Hey guys I know this is an old post but I'm 38 weeks now last week my bp was a little raised and I had +3 protein in urine, had my bloods done all came back normal so they let me go home, but today I've got pitting odema in my legs and ankles. I called triage but she said she wasn't concerned as it's near the end of my pregnancy. I'm just quite worried about it now and not sure what to do. I am also having black spots in my vision but this has been happening for weeks now any advice ?

When I press my ankles and legs my skin goes in and doesn't come back up for a while to.

@mummyaieey go the unit ASAP. All that matters is you and baby and that does sound a little worrying. Go with your gut

@RSmamaa yeah I was thinking of just going in to, but because she was so adamant it was normal in late pregnancy I feel like there going to think i'm being silly. I even told her my consultant last week told me to call if I notice any swelling she just dismissed everything I said pretty much.

@mummyaieey I've never known anyone to suffer that and for it to be normal. Call back and say you are seeing the spots. Do you have a blood pressure machine at home you can check BP with? They should be checking you just in case it's what they are there for

I would go to a&e to get assessed. I had swelling in my legs in my last pregnancy and they had to scan my legs for clots

Started my induction yesterday, with the pessary and I'm having contractions now lasting 50 secs every 2-3 mins apart so very exciting

@mummyaieey did you go and get seen then? How exciting that is amazing progression! Very exciting good luck x

@RSmamaa went in and they decided to induce me there and then having contractions now since 4pm xx

@RSmamaa I was 2cm when they last checked, just waiting for a bed for them to break my waters x
