Fragile X worry

I know I know, I’m overly anxious but could do with reassuring.
For context I do have a severely autistic child who was tested for fragile x which is contributing to my worry.

Had a scan at 34 weeks due to reduced movements, all ok but baby has a massive head. Like 99th percentile. Legs average, tummy slightly above average. Just a huge noggin. At first I was just worried about actually giving birth but now I have it in my head that it’s because she’s got fragile x.

Did anyone else have babies with huge heads that are ok?

A couple of friends had babies with big heads at birth (not in proportion to body)

They had extra checks as babies.

Both are now school age and in perfect proportion.

The babies on my dad's side of the family are all renowned for having really big heads. My dad was a big head baby, I was a big head baby and my daughter was definitely a big head baby. We and our big heads have all been absolutely fine. Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope all goes well

Thank you both, I’m assuming @OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias you didn’t all grow up to look like bobble heads 🙈

Fragile x is only a concern if their is a genetic link my DS is currently being tested as my partners auntie and uncle have fragile x & his mum is a carrier of the mutated gene and he is suspected of being autistic. Does you other child have fragile X

Men can't pass it on to boys

I had a massive head at birth and as a baby. As an adult my head verges on looking small 😂 Pretty sure it never grew any more as I got older 😂 But no issues, so I wouldn’t worry too much about head size necessarily meaning anything.
