NHS 12 week scan and harmony test at the same time?

Hi everyone
I've just got the appointment for my 12 week scan (I'll be 11w5d) for Friday 25 Feb. I'm having the Harmony test too on the nhs, cost £340. Is it normal they do the 12 week scan beforehand and I'll only be 11w5d approx?

It's normal to have the 12 week scan from 11 weeks - they also need to confirm you're still pregnant + that you're far along enough for the harmony test to work. So it makes sense to me!

Thanks Juno. I hope I am still pregnant then, I'm not religious but I've even been praying lately that everything will be OK

They have to confirm that you are at least 10 weeks to do the NIPT test, I'm having one on Monday and they are scanning to check then will do the test, so if you haven't had any scans yet this might be why

Thanks. I have had some early scans so I'm sure of my dates but knowing that I'll be using the 12 week scan at the same time is good actually as only one visit

I've got to pay, it isn't free. But it's £100 cheaper than private. I asked for it

From my research I think most nhs trusts do offer but it but it is not covered by the NHS.

My Trust offer the Harmony test if the 12 week scan etc. comes back as high risk. It's annoying they don't do it in the same visit, because at 45 I know it will!

Sounds like I'm lucky then as I'm 39 so I too have my age against me. That is really annoying they won't do both at the same time, prolonging it just makes the waiting worse
