Hi, I'm 13+4 days.
In the last few days I just don't even feel pregnant, no symptoms whatsoever. The most I got 1st trimester was nausea (but never sick) and so tired I'd go sleep at 8.30pm.

Is this normal?
I guess until I see a bump its just a bit odd - it's as if nothing has ever happened.

BTW - I had a 12 week scan that showed all is well.

I was extremely nauseous, tired, had many food aversions and kept fainting until about 13 weeks, then woke one morning feeling absolutely fine - I could eat normally, didn't feel sick and had a new lease of energy.

Apparently your hormones can alter after the baby is fully dependant on the placenta and so a lot of symptoms can subside.

Normal until the heartburn starts and the baby starts pummelling your organs.

With both my pregnancies the nausea and sickness just suddenly lifted and it was quite worrying at the time but both pregnancies ended in happy healthy babies. If you've had no bleeding or any other signs of something being wrong I'd say it was just your body adjusting as it moves into the next trimester.

This sounds bang on for timing with the baby switching to the placenta and hormones stabilising. Try to enjoy a nice second trimester of feeling good again and having energy! As someone said here, the third trimester is feeling large/heartburn/back to sleep 24/7, so make the most of this one!

Hi thanks all.
Yea - not worrying .. it's just odd isn't it. like I said it's like nothing has ever happened.

  • the first 12 weeks seem to go so fast and so " action packed" .. first finding out positive, then with the worries and nerves around early and 12 week scans.

So these weeks until 20 week scan just feel a totally different experience mentally as well as physically.

@Footnote that's made me laugh.

I felt great when I turned 13 weeks but now I’m 15 weeks and I have vomited a few times again. It’s mainly my smell aversion that’s still here and making me vomit :( I don’t think it’s going to leave me!

Firsttimetrier · 05/02/2022 14:32

Honestly, if I didn’t have a scan at 8 and 12 weeks and all the sickness/nausea until 12 weeks, I wouldn’t believe I’m 15 weeks pregnant as I feel absolutely normal. I honestly didn’t expect pregnancy to be like this 🤣

Hi op,
I've read that it's very common for women to start to feel better around the 12 week mark {especially from nausea}

I had all day nausea with dd, I wasn't actually sick but lost my appetite so much, I lost about 6 lbs. I also had lots of excess saliva & needed a spit cup, it was gross. This all subsided around week 11/12.
I never had sore boobs all through pregnancy , nor did I ever feel tired, it was weird. If anything, I felt I had lots of energy.

We are all so different, I think it's just luck of the draw!

Jupiter92 · 05/02/2022 19:14

I agree, I think every woman is different! Xx

lowkeyloopy · 06/02/2022 08:55

Totally normal OP! I didn't have terrible first trimester symptoms, but did feel nauseous when hungry, a bit tired, sore boobs etc. I woke up the day before my 12 week scan feeling totally and utterly normal - all symptoms disappeared and it scared the hell out of me! But everything was totally normal and well and I'm now 40+3 impatiently waiting for baby to turn up!

The second trimester can be a lovely honeymoon phase if you're lucky enough not to have too many symptoms.

Enjoy your pregnancy!
