Hi
My ds 2 is 8 weeks tomorrow and I've been having night sweats which I understand to be perfectly fine and natural. I was full of fluid - I was 12 stone 10 ish lbs at my heaviest during my pregnancy and are now 9 stone 11 and are back to my pre state.

BUT
I sweat like billy-o at night. We are talking making the bed wet, wet hair and nightie/pyjamas being soaking wet. I b/f and my poor boy gets a wet breast thrust in his face at 3 ish in the morning!!!!

It doesn't smell of BO more a beery/yeasty smell.

When does it end???

God, so remember this (but only really with ds, not dd)

Hmmm, remember was so paranoid that I stank in the early days! Sorry, not much help but I'd not stress till at least 3-4 months...

Thanks dinny! I do so much washing of my pj's/nighties and I even have a draw sheet in between my duvet and me so I can sweat merrily away into that rather than change the duvet every day.

I just need to know it will end...

It does end. It's horrible, isn't it? I think it took me a few months at least to get back to normal sweat levels. I found lying on a towel was good and I kept another couple by the bed so I could swap them in the night if necessary or use them to mop myself. It's lots of laundry but I guess you are doing plenty of that anyway!

Only really had this with dd3 and I think it lessened over time but I do remember it went on for nearly a year, but less severe and less frequent etc

sorry!

I had this too - I used to sleep on a towel. You have my sympathies, it is awful, but I only remember it lasting till dd was about 3-4 months.
