First trimester sleep woes

I usually sleep really well, it’s one of my superpowers 😂
I’m around 7 weeks now, and have had more nights of interrupted poor quality sleep than I ever have. I have been awake since 2AM, having gone to sleep at around midnight, for no particular reason. I’m not uncomfortable/running to the loo etc, just can’t sleep! Been staring at the dark ceiling for hours and have officially given up now on any more sleep.
I will try a few different things tonight, improve my sleep routine etc, but just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

Yep totally normal. My sleep went back to normal around 12 weeks and was great up to about 22 weeks. Now I'm up and down getting comfy, rolling back onto my side, fighting with pillows, plotting DPs death for snoring, going to the loo etc.

The snoring comment had me 😂

Ah, 12 weeks seems too far away if I struggle to sleep! How did you cope with work etc?

I reckon if men had to go through pregnancy, mat leave would be from day 1!

I fell asleep on my lunch break for over two hours and no one missed me so I managed to get away with that one ... I work hybrid between office and home. I took my lunch as late as possible each day and tried to sleep in car or on my bed. Set an alarm and just did my best. I also opened windows to cool me down and kept getting up to wander around. It's really hard but honestly it does fly by.
