hi, i've just had my 20wk scan and was told
90% girl, i would love to go and buy something pink...i have a DS already so would make a change! we didn't ask with DS, but my SIL told me they often predict it wrong with girls. would like to hear others' experiences

I think the trick with predicting girls is that a lot of the time they might say girl if they can't see any boy bits. If they can actually point out the three white lines that indicate the girly bits then you're fairly safe. I was told 70% girl at my 20wk scan but I wasn't convinced so we paid out for a gender scan and it was clear as day.

Not much help, sorry!

i was told girl, we had 3d san at a later date and she is a girl. (i have clearly seen her lady bits though).

I have heard that girl predictions are less reliable but all rpedictions are 90% certain I think- I would (and am, mines a boy) buy stuff if you want, maybe shove a neutral babygro or two in there- but really, if it is wrong, baby ain't gonna care LOL- we were given a set that bizarrely includes lots of boys suits and one girls one, and baby will still wear it, he won't know.

there is another thread on this .. i think the general consensus was they are more often right than wrong

I have a DS and DD , and found out at the scans.... DS was obvious, DH pointed it out to the sonographer, with DD it was not obvious to us, but we were shown the 3 white lines, and looked so different to DS

thanks! main thing is that baby's healthy and after six years of trying an absolute blessing, but a girl will be the icing on the cake.this will be the last one as DH is getting on in years LOL
