Hello, so I am currently 9 weeks with my booking in appointment not due till I'm around 11weeks I know they are usually done around 8 or 9 weeks but I presume there may be a back log of appointments hence my booking in appointment being so late.

However I've been told I wont get my first NHS scan till after the booking in appointment is done so does anyone know, will this be sent through quickly and around the 12 weeks mark or will it likely be a few weeks later due to my booking in app being so late?

I did have an early reassurance scan at 6 weeks but I would love for the dating scan to be sooner rather than later.

I got my 12 week scan letter through before I had heard from a midwife. My booking apt is at 10 weeks. I self referred via the online system my hospital uses.

The 12 week scan is anywhere between 11-14 weeks so you'll have abit of leeway.
I had mine at 13 weeks, booking app was at 10 weeks

Hadn't heard anything at 10 wks re 12 week scan so midwife told me to call hospital

I referred myself late owing to past miscarriages so I was already around 9/10 weeks before I even let the hospital know I was pregnant. I had my booking appointment at just over 11 weeks and my scan was arranged during the appointment - I was 12+6 when I had it.
