Had a show and blood pressure high, could this be it??????

Hi all,

Just need some advise, i am testing my own BP daily as it has been high sometimes.
I have just done it and its 162/96. I feel a bit odd but not unwell. But just been to the loo and have just had a show (def had to be as brown, but had some clear fluid at lunch time aswell)!!!!

Could this be the start of labour?????

I would certainly contact the hospital because your BP is high.

A show is usually mucosy - sometimes clear, sometimes pink, brown, grey.

I contacted them christmas day when it went high, but by the time i got there and they monitored me it was fine. They kept me in over night and all the times they checked it, it was fine, so im def in no hurry to go there again. Will check it again my self in a hour and see how it is.

Your BP is definitely higher than it should be.

Call your hospital if it doesn't come down.

Try some deep breathing.

I get higher BP sometimes and bring it down by imagining i'm floating in a rubber tube in an empty swimming pool with my face to the sun. It works!!
