TMI pic attached: Bloody show

Hey ladies!

I’ve been having loads of bloody show throughout today - the image attached was just one wipe and I’ve had loads of similar quantities attached. Sometimes it has bright red blood but it’s mostly dark brown with clear mucus.

I’ve been having contractions, back pain and cramping.

Reckon baby will be here before an induction next week? I’m 40+6 today.

I had bloody show and lots of mucus very similar this the day before my son was before (went into labour that night )

Looks like a show to me! Can your midwife if you seen any fresh, bright red blood though. Good luck!

It's definitely a show, but don't get too excited about labour being imminent. I had well
over a week of this before starting with contractions .

@2022IamHavingYa I did have some bright red bleeding early hours of this morning and went straight to triage - baby was fine and was told it was just the show. Felt like an absolute dick for going in (had some sassy nurses on duty) but glad it wasn’t anything serious 😅

@strawberrrycheeesecake I’m really hoping my cervix does enough before my induction next Monday, but I am very aware that it might not happen!

Just an update just in case ever needs this thread, our little baby girl was born on 03.02.2022 at 7:56pm weighing a decent 8lbs 3oz! I had a cervical sweep at midday and had a swift 8 hour labour.
