24dpo dye stealer on an opk. Did it out of curiosity

Just decided see what an opk looks like 24dpo pregnant, pregnancy confirmed 8dpo. Very obvious dye stealertoday 24dpo wasn't expecting it. So I guess they could be a good indicator for pregnancy if you have no HCG tests at hand and a bit further along. First time I've ever done this and only out of curiosity and fun.

Mine looked like that too!

That’s how I found out I was pregnant! Had had a tiny bleed when my period was due, for like an hour. Thought it was just a weird period. Took a pregnancy test before going on a hen weekend a day later to be on the safe side, negative. OPK 5 days later was an almost instant due stealer, took another pregnancy test to get it out of my head because I thought it was super weird and low and behold.. he’s sat next to me now babbling and kicking away 😂

im writing this as might be useful for someone else. 😍

I confirmed my pregnancy with an ovulation test. I took clomid for 5 months unsuccessfully and had a break due to stress and fell. I am still taking them as I have anxiety, I’ve done 5 tests. They are positive. Tbe OPK are now having the dye stolen out of them xx

The problem is that LH also rises towards a period. So they either might be picking up HCG or might be picking up your period is about to start, so not so useful for pregnancy testing

Hiya, yes defo do a HCG. I’ve done several tests hcg and digital and all positive. I tested as didn’t have hcg 5 days after a late period x
