Anterior placenta

So just had m scan today at 12+6 and everything appears well :)
The sonographer told me I have an anterior placenta. I'm wondering - especially for FTMs - if this had any effect on bump size or when you felt movement? I've been so excited for a bump, especially as being on the shorter side a few people have said I might start to show early. And I know it's harder for FTMs to feel movement and wondering what your experiences are with anterior placenta.

I haven't heard it affects bump size. I'd say mine is quite big (22+5) but have nothing to compare it to as never got this far before.

Definitely affecting feeling movements for me; mine is anterior and high, I've felt occasional movements for the last week or so but only v low as the placenta is cushioning most of the movements.

My SIL is a few weeks ahead of me without an anterior placenta, also FTM, & has felt movements for ages.

No impact on bumble but a definite impact on feeling movements.

I always had an anterior placenta in each pregnancy. It affected me feeling movement in my first pregnancy but not my third. It does depend as you can have a high anterior placenta or a low one. A high one affects you feeling movement less and at 12 weeks yours will move a lot still. It did not affect the size of my bump at all though.

I probably didn't feel movements till around 23 weeks, don't think there has been any affect on bump but again FTM so nothing to compare it to!
