Bleaching hair while pregnant

Hi has anyone bleached their hair whilst pregnant. I'm nearly 11 weeks and have held off for 11 weeks but my hairs awful now😭 I've had mix opinions whether I can have it done or not my midwife said it was okay but all my friends are scaring me telling me not to I just wanted other opinions

Fine as long as you patch test, no evidence it isn't.

Bleaching your hair is fine in pregnancy, your midwife is correct.

I bleached my hair at around 13 weeks. I saw my consultant at around 8 weeks and asked her if it was ok, and she said it was absolutely fine 😊

My midwife advised against it. But I have stubborn roots that have chemicals sat on the scalp for about 45 minutes. I'm going to speak to my hairdresser after my 12 week scan to see what they suggest as my roots are really bad.

As others have said it's completely fine OP, I'm a hairdresser and pregnant with my second at the moment. My midwives always said as long as I was in a well ventilated area it was safe, you'd never get any pregnant hairdressers otherwise Id advise getting a patch test prior to the appointment if it's been a while since your last colour as you can become more sensitive to it, enjoy the pamper!
