Pregnancy test advice

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I'm so confused at the moment. I had a missed miscarriage so had the suction vac but had to have 2 as it wasn't all removed. I've had intercourse since but haven't had a period. Done a clear blue and it was positive 1-2 weeks but I've done a cheap test and that's negative. I just hope that all the mm has definitely been removed. I'm so confused, wondering if anyone has been through this and what the outcome was.

I am so sorry OP, that sounds so confusing and stressful. And I am sorry for your mm. How long has it been since you had your mm and procedure? I guess it's possible to for you to have ovulated and fallen pregnant before your first period - but equally possible for them to maybe have missed something, but after two procedures it does feel less likely... had they scanned you at all?

Hi op.
I always got a positive pregnancy test for up to 7 weeks after a complete miscarriage and I was not pregnant.
It’s just that pregnancy hormones hang around for a very long time.

I'd keep testing. If tests get lighter, it's likely left over HCG from the MMC.
I'm currently 9 days post miscarriage (I had medical management) and still getting a positive test.

@bubbleteateab thank you. My first procedure was the end of Nov and second was 2 weeks later that one was done under ultrasound. I'm so confused, I'm going to ring the epu and explain the situation and hopefully they can give me some advice

@Diditopknot I tested 3 weeks after the second op and that was negative but I used a cheap test

@LuckyWithMyLot I'm so sorry to hear this. I tested 3 weeks after the 2nd op and that was negative so I'm wondering if the clear blue are picking up old levels.

I think it's more likely a new pregnancy if you've had negative tests since your procedure. You'll just have to test again and see if the lines get darker

LuckyWithMyLot · 30/01/2022 17:39

As the procedure was so long ago and you had a negative test since, it sounds like a new pregnancy to me.

Cymraes85 · 30/01/2022 18:00

@polkadotpixie @LuckyWithMyLot I'm hoping that's what it is but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. Thank you for your advice. I'll test again in a few days.

Think it could well be a new pregnancy. My ds2 was conceived after a miscarriage with no period in between.

bubbleteatea · 30/01/2022 18:28

Thanks OP. I agree with PP, if it's been this long after your procedure it could be a new pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you

Thank you all for your comments, think I'll leave it a few days and test again and then call epu for some advice
