Hello everyone.

I've been feeling the baby move for months. It's been that active that my abdomen looks really wierd when i'm quiet, moving all over. However, i noticed yesterday it was very quiet and it always wakes up when i'm getting dd to sleep and i still can't feel it.
I feel REALLY heavy at the moment, (like it's pressing right on my bladder).
Am starting to get a bit scared really.
Any tips to get it moving and reasssure me???

Gald to hear you're ok I found it comes and goes like that - depends on where the baby is lying as well - a few times i got into a panic and got monitered and turned out that the baby was moving all over the place, just not enough for me to feel it really kicking. I'm sure you'll be fine

Was just checking up on you Angeliz! I think the busier you are the less you notice movements and they are taking up a bit more room around now. My little girl is - I think - gently headbutting me at the moment and it feels rather nice.

I had this worry with each of my 4 pregs incluc my v recent dd, I eneded up in hospital so many times and started to feel silly, beleive it or not there is still plenty of room for your babe to wiggle about in there without you feeling it, they also tand to make a lot of subtle movements that you cant actually feel, depending on the posistion they are in, sometimes if they are facing the back of you movements cant be felt so easily, its not usual to feel such a rigid pattern of movements until 28 weeks although at this stage they usually do have times when they seem more active.if you are busy you wont feel much movement because you actually rock your baby to sleep! then as soon as you relax, they jump about!. if you are worried again, try any of these, get on all fours and rock back and forth about 4 times( gently), iced cold water, a bath/shower or try eating a light snack then lying on your side for about 40 mins, if baby still doesnt move go to the hospital to be monitored, you can garantee that as soon as they hook you up to a ctg machine your baby will start doing the tango!!!!( always used to happen to me!!)I was scanned at 28 weeks once after I complained of no movement and my dd was touching her face, yawning etc all which I was not aware of, that said you should never dismiss lack of movement and if you dont get 10 in a day go to your hospital. glad in your case that everything was ok

Thanks for that everyone

It's a funny thing but today, (well 5 minutes ago actually) i was lying on the setteetapping my tummy and baby was kicking back! I feel as if the little scare yesterday has made me 'bond' a bit more with her as up to now, i must admit, i've thought more of how my realtionship with dd (aged3) might suffer!
