17 week scan and long neck

Hi, had our 17 week scan and the more we look at it, the babies neck looks really long and thick.. Has anyone had this? Is this a thing? Obviously looking for anything to worry about now 😩

The sonography will have identified anything that’s a concern. Foetuses are not yet in proportion so there will be things that might look strange in a scan photo. Plus it’s just a scan in 2d. So no- not anything to worry about.

Ah don't worry. They would have picked up an abnormality. They move on 2D scans and it can make things look odd. I will never forgot the relief of looking at my newborns and the relief of them not having 2 heads or no nose or something as they always looked so weird on the scans.
