Large AC

My baby has been consistently measuring around 90th and now about 95th for AC measurement. I have a growth scan Tuesday at 36+5 and I’m just nervous as to what they will say if he is still measuring big. I am 5”9 and my husband 6”2 we were both big babies so i feel like a big baby was inevitable!! Im just really wanting a natural birth, has this happened to anyone and how was your birth :) x

I was tested for gestational diabetes and nothing more (AC 95 at 36 week scan). Midwife told me that AC measurements can vary quite a lot on different days at this stage as baby may be swallowing fluid and so on. No one has mentioned concerns about having natural birth to me ... but time will tell I guess.

Bloody painful ! But I was induced, labour 2 hours start to finish, not recommended. My son was 8lb 2oz so not huge but 24" long. He was off the centile scale all his life and is now 6'6". Thing is I am 5'8", his Bio father was 5'10". Second son was 80 centile and is now 6'2", as is his father. Eldest son must be a throwback 😂 - there is no way of really telling until you get them!

@KellyABC when’re you due? I wish my midwives were like that!! They look at me like I’m abnormal but There are no problems! X

@whywouldntyou why were you induced I think my baby will be long too!!

Due on 10 Feb! Hoping I don't have to wait much longer.

@AAllen56 last estimated weight was only about 3.5 kg so really not huge at all despite the AC. Which I don't really understand as my first child weighed about that and was on much lower centiles across the board. Still waiting for baby to come.

@KellyABC good luck hopefully not long! I’m analysing any feeling at the moment 😖 I do think they must be so off with their scan measurements, seem to create problems out of nothing!!
