Screening tests

Hi I have my 12 weeks NHS scan in a couple of weeks. I am getting the screening for Down syndrome etc. and just wondering , how do you get the results for these and when please? Do you get them there and then or have to wait?

I had my 12 week scan this week. They took measurements during the scan (told me that they seemed ok and nothing unusual). Then I saw the midwife afterwards and she took my bloods. She said that I would get a letter in about 2 weeks with the results on but if there was anything to worry about I would get a call in the next few days x

Yes I told my mum and sister in law when I found it at about 5 weeks. I told my manager in work at around 8 weeks as I do a risky client facing role and wanted to make sure she knew so that I wasn't going into unsafe or volatile situations. I've told a few other people now too but I still feel really nervous so haven't do any announcements or anything. I bought a couple of bits after my scan this week that I can't stop staring at! X
