FRATERNAL TWINS!!

Yikes! 34+2 today with fraternal twins, previously 3 pregnancies with 3 boys! This time around a now have a GIRL aswell as another BOY on the way!! Excited. BUT..I'm so scared to be induced. I was induced with my youngest and It was the worst pain ever that I had experienced, everything was all one big massive painful blur. Went from no twinge whatsoever to full on contractions within 5min of being on the drip. Epidural failed as the contractions were that strong it was just impossible for me to stay in one place. But anyhow, but midwife/ob say they won't let me go over 37 weeks. So since I am 34wks now I am going to try my very best for these pair of monkeys to appear naturally. I've been using my ball and drinking RTL since 32 wks. I've started to drink it a lot stronger now though. Adding an extra tea bag to the mug.

Im forever having braxton hicks and they are getting stronger as before my tummy was just getting tight but I can now feel them but very mild.

Im just wondering if there are any other fraternal birthing mummies out there that are willing to share there birthing story as I feel this time around is VERY different and I feel like I am new to giving birth 🤣😂

Also, we are struggling for names the we both agree so any ideas would be appreciated hehe 😉 💕

Thanks ladies for reading 🥰

Congratulations! I have fraternal boy/girl twins and it's bloody amazing and brilliant fun (despite my user name anyway!)

I didn't get past 34 weeks and had Them by emergency c section. Be prepared that usually you can do one naturally but might have to have the second by c section

I'm guessing your 3 boys were vaginal births? My hospital wouldn't let any mums have a VBAC if they were having twins

Congratulations on your twins!

Following as we're expecting twin girls 1st week of March. I'm 31+4 and just booked in our c-section but still thinking about induction....

Congratulations on your twins - I’m 24 weeks with fraternal Girl/Boy twins, so wanted to say Hi 👋. I’ve Started to think about birth and my hospital has said they’d recommend a C-section for me around 36 weeks as often with a natural twin birth you end up with an EC-S for the 2nd baby. These are my 1st babies so I’ve absolutely no idea what’s best! But they did tell me to be ready with my hospital bag packed from 30 weeks onwards!! Xx

Twins are amazing, good luck.

We have fraternal twin girls, our twin 1 was naughty and turned from head down to breech between 32 & 36 week scans so I had an elcs at 38wk as they wouldn't try to turn her. They were very comfy and I'd had no signs of labour at all, they were 8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz so quite glad I didn't have to hold on to them longer. Our older 3 were all vaginal births (1 vontouse due to fetal distress, others unassisted), I was gutted I had to go with a c-section but it was a much better experience than I expected. We've had another singleton since them, that was another c-section with scar rupture as she was big at 10lb 15oz (spontaneous labour at 38+6).
