Can giardia affect pregnancy

Took my pup to the vets and they've discovered he's got a giardia parasite, which is pretty common for dogs. Was just wondering if anyone been in the same situation and whether this can affect the baby (I.e toxoplasmosis) while pregnant

Sorry I have never heard of this but I expect your best bet is to speak to your vet.

A quick Google suggests it doesn't affect pregnancy (beyond the normal unpleasant effects of giardia!) but you should speak to your midwife to confirm.
