I am 39+4 today and had a super chilled easy pregnancy so far, thankfully.

It's my first and I haven't been anxious or worried this whole time about the actual birth/labour part of it. Which is strange as I have suffered from health anxiety in the past. However, the past couple of days I feel super on edge, anxious, a little dizzy, and just out of sorts. Whenever I have had an anxious period in the past I always feel like this so I'm 99% sure it's just my anxiety and overthinking the whole situation.

Baby is moving like normal, but no labour signs just yet - the odd BH's and period like twinges, but nothing else so far.

Don't really know what I'm posting this for to be honest, I guess just to see how you all felt in those last couple of weeks? Anxiety is through the roof and overthinking massively.

I felt awful in the last week, it's just the waiting game because you know what's about to come, I didn't get braxton hicks with mine at all, so no idea what I expected. My waters broke at 39.5 weeks and I gave birth on my due date, no warnings before had at all, he just came when he was ready, didn't get any pain untill 17 hours after waters breaking, good luck 🙌🏽

I felt fine the last week or so, just a bit fed up tbh.

ShowOfHands · 27/01/2022 18:51

I felt fine with my first. Second time round I had a few wobbles as I was worried about a repeat of the first labour. But I was mostly okay.

Devo1818 · 27/01/2022 18:55

1st time- lonely, isolated, uncomfortable, bored, hot, emotional, impatient

2nd time - can't remember!

AmbushedByCake · 27/01/2022 18:58

Have you seen your midwife? I felt really dizzy and spaced out at 41 weeks, turns out my blood pressure had shot through the roof and I got sent to hospital for a sweep and monitoring.

AmbushedByCake · 27/01/2022 18:59

Up until then I had just felt sore and really really ANGRY, like a big hot Hulk.

Seriouslymole · 27/01/2022 19:00

Fat

YellowLemonz · 27/01/2022 19:03

I was nocturnal which was irritating.
Otherwise I felt ok just sick, bored, irritated, impatient.

I would speak to your MW about your dizzy spells

Twizbe · 27/01/2022 19:04

I felt like shit. I wasn't sleeping but was exhausted. I had horrific heart burn and with DD I had a cold.

Couldn't wait for those babies to come out.

KellyABC · 27/01/2022 19:13

I'm 38 weeks atm. Have a cold that won't shift, exhausted yet wake for 2 hours every night and somewhat anxious. Also lost appetite.

willithappen · 27/01/2022 19:49

I really struggled to sit down on the toilet the last couple days. I think DDs head was putting pressure there already.
Other than that nothing in particular that made me think labour was on route

grey12 · 27/01/2022 19:52

I was a cool cucumber like you Wink great pregnancies. Maybe a bit of heart burn in the end

It got bad afterwards because all were born at nearly 42 weeks Sad and all pregnancies I fought with the doctors to delay induction

Catfox1 · 27/01/2022 19:54

39 weeks and I’ve been so relaxed up until last week. Now hit with fear that something will go wrong, something will be wrong with baby, about labour itself, about tearing, that I can’t be a mother, that im making a mistake, won’t love baby etc etc. Can barely sleep! Very strange. Hoping it will all disappear once baby is born.

romdowa · 27/01/2022 20:05

I'd a elective section at 39 weeks and spent the last 3 weeks worrying about the section, unable to sleep because i had a bum constantly in my ribs and I was so so cranky. The section was grand in the end and I worried myself silly needlessly.

Lollipop25 · 27/01/2022 20:18

Due tomorrow, nothing happening here anyway 😂they wanted to induce last week ,but couldn't give me an actual reason as baby, placenta, fluid, and my bp were fine so I declined, did agree to a sweep which did zero. Will see what my appointment tomorrow brings but I'm quite happy to wait & comfortable but healthcare staff are not.

Pasdelacasa · 27/01/2022 20:20

First time - Fine up until 40 weeks, then went over due and was so achey, knackered and bored. Had DC1 at 42 weeks. Longest two weeks of my life!

Second - hyperemesis. Sick as a dog. Relieved when DC2 was born at 37+5!
