If you have had amnio what were your nuchal fold results

Hi I had my nuchal fold test yesterday and was given a 1 in 486 chance which I thought was fantastic however doing some reading on other websites I notice that some people have gone on to have amnio with a much lower risk i.e. 1 in 800 or 1 in 1200 etc

So my question is if you decided to have amnio what was your nuchal fold risk.

Thanks

Most people who had amnio had a risk of chromosone disorder that was greater than 1:100 (so greater than the chance of the amnio causing miscarriage).
Which makes sense if you think miscarriage and chromosone disorder are equally bad things.
But sometimes people don't see it like that.
So they might refuse amnio even if they had a 1:2 risk of a chromosone disorder.
From nuchal fold I had a chromosone disorder risk of 1:400, but I chose amnio anyway. I paid almost ?600 to get it done privately at London clinic and with a practitioner who reputedly has a personal m/c risk following amnio of only about 1:700.
The thing is that the nuchal fold test only gives you a risk stat, whereas the amnio can give you some certainty. Some people will decide that certainty is so desirable that they take the risk.
It's a very personal thing how you decide to weigh the risks up.
