Baby's Due Date A Week Ahead

The due date has been pushed forward for my baby by roughly a week but I'm not sure how it's possible. Isn't it calculated from LMP? If so, I definitely had a proper period and don't think I could have conceived a week ahead. If anything, I calculated that I'm two weeks behind by when I DTD.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Some babies grow faster, it's not uncommon for due dates to change from ones estimated from LMP, being ahead is better than being behind lol

Yes, I agree it would be helpful to be further ahead! Grin

I was induced last time a few weeks early and I'm expecting it again. If so, I assume the baby would potentially be born roughly a month earlier than it should be going by my dates.

My dates were moved ahead by 4 days, not a week like you but I was still a bit surprised too

Mine have been moved forward by 5 days! I’m guessing the baby is going to be a big baby as I couldn’t have physically conceived 5 days ahead!

I hope it's not too big of a baby. My last small one was hard enough.

I've just recalled they brought DD's due date forward by 2 weeks then she was too small for her gestational age around the time of induction. That would mean would have been born approximately a month earlier than expected too and explain her reluctance to make an appearance.

Or am I missing something and looking at this the wrong way?

Our due date moved forward by 5 days and i couldn't get my head around it as i would have then conceived right after my period finished (not unheard of i know), but i did just find out last week that baby is measuring big so she's maybe just been growing a lot the entire time

Mine was moved a whole week ahead by LMP and 5 days ahead going by my ovulation, and I knew it was wrong as we hadn't done the deed on the week their calculations would have gone back to. My DD arrived on what would have been her original due date by my ovulation date :)

Wondering if the same will happen this time

rose88xx · 27/01/2022 10:39

This happened to me too, first 2 scans fit exactly with my dates (as I was tracking ovulation and so am pretty certain!) but got moved forward by 5 days at my 12 week scan! It doesn’t make a difference at the minute really, but I am a bit worried I might get pressure to induce if I go over, when I know I’m not over! If that makes sense Grin
