When is c section wound sealed on outside?

Hi everyone,

I’m 3 weeks pp after caesarean and am still super paranoid about the wound, keeping it clean and bone dry, air drying for 30 minutes after daily shower. I wonder whether anyone knows when the incision is considered sealed? I’d like to not have to worry about it so much…but it’s hard not to when you hear about people getting infections sometimes 6 weeks later…

6 weeks I would say as a general rule keep looking after it like you are x

My most recent one I remember the public health nurse saying it has closed perfectly around 2-3 weeks.

I did what you did OP, stopped air drying at week 6. I didn’t bath for much longer though- just showered.
